Under-18s beat league leaders...
United's under-18s moved within touching distance of taking over the leadership of the league after beating top of the table Newcastle on Saturday.
First half goals from Dominic Poleon and Simon Lenighan, pictured, gave the youngsters the advantage in the game before Newcastle hit back with a penalty late in the game.
The win takes United to within three points of the Tynesiders, both with four games still to play.
Under-18s coach Neil Redfearn was delighted and he said: "It was an outstanding performance and we totally dominated the first half.
"The second half was more even and the penalty set up a nervy finale, but in truth it should have been far more comfortable for us with the amount of good chances we created.
"There were a lot of great performances on the day but Lewis Turner was outstanding at the back and Simon Lenighan capped an all -ction game with a well taken goal."
The United side included three players who had travelled with the senior squad to Reading the previous day, Nathan and Lewis Turner, and Charlie Taylor.
