Neil Warnock will get another opportunity to view the strength in depth of his squad on Tuesday when a reserve XI takes on Middlesbrough at Thorp Arch.

Lloyd Sam, Mikael Forssell, Zac Thompson, and Billy Paynter, who were all named among the substitutes at Portsmouth on Saturday are all expected to start the game against Boro.

Returning defender Ben Parker is also likely to play, having returned from a loan spell at Carlisle United. Ben made five appearances for the Cumbrians, scoring his first ever league goal in their win against Chesterfield.

Paul Connolly, Ramon Nunez, and Maik Taylor are the other senior players expected to get a taste of the action while young defenders Ross Killock and Charlie Taylor will get an opportunity, along with Lewis Turner.
