Neil Redfearn

Neil Redfearn and his Leeds United charges were back at Elland Road on Thursday preparing for the weekend clash with Brighton.

With temperatures plummeting again, training was switched from Thorp Arch to the stadium in order for Neil and the players to continue their preparations for the visit of the Seagulls.

"It's great that we can train in those surrounding," said Neil.

"Norman the groundsman does well for us, and Chris Drury and his staff at Thorp Arch have been fantastic. They have had the covers on and off every two minutes this week and found areas to train.

"It's important because we have a big game on Saturday. Everyone has mucked in and there's a real feeling about it. For me, it's nice to have that underneath because that's what makes the club."

With the temporary manager now knowing that he will be at the helm until the clash with Doncaster Rovers, there are a couple of 'new' faces around the boss.

Academy goalkeeping coach Andy Leaning and experienced central defender Andy O'Brien were both in the dug-out at Bristol City last weekend and will continue to provide assistance to the man at the helm.

And Neil says the senior players will have a key role to play as he looks to preside over another important week.

"OB is an experienced pro," said Neil.

"He's still got years in front of him as a player. What's happened has happened. It's been and gone, but we're glad to get him back. He's great to lean on and have around. Paddy Kisnorbo is another experienced international and they are great to have around and to throw thoughts about.

"It helps you and your way of thinking. They go back in the dressing room and well and it galvanises everything. When changes are made you want everyone to be galvanised and be going in the right direction so that was why OB was involved like that at Bristol."
