Howson deal complete...
Jonny Howson is finalising his move from Leeds United to Norwich City after completing the formalities on Tuesday afternoon.
The 23-year-old product of the United Academy will join the Premier League club on a three-and-a-half year contract.
Jonny joins Norwich after making 227 appearances for United since emerging from the club's Academy system. Jonny made his United debut against Barnet in the Carling Cup in September 2006 and scored his first goal, ironically, against Norwich City later this season.
Jonny, who became the club's youngest captain since Billy Bremner, also won England honours while at United, making his under-21 debut belatedly last season.
The Morley-born youngster scored two goals at Carlisle in the Play-Off semi-final in May 2008 when he fired us to Wembley, and he famously scored the equaliser against Bristol Rovers at Elland Road on the day the club won promotion from League One in May 2010.
Last season, Jonny became the first player since Neil Sullivan in 2004/05 to feature in every league game, and that consecutive run came to an end against Hull City in August, following his sending off against Middlesbrough at Elland Road.
Jonny hasn't featured since December 3 when he suffered a knee injury during the 2-0 win at Elland Road.
United manager Simon Grayson said: "Jonny goes with the best wishes of everyone connected with Leeds United. He has been a pleasure to work with and he's the ultimate professional.
"He's a Leeds lad and was very proud to play for this club. He wanted to play Premier League football and this is an opportunity for him. I think I speak on behalf of everyone when I wish him the very best of luck for the future."
