Grayson issues familiar message...
United boss Simon Grayson will send his players out at the Emirates Stadium on Monday evening with a familiar message ringing in their ears: "Have no regrets."
Grayson's men have a terrific record against Premier League opponents and the boss has stuck to a familiar mantra since we pulled off a stunning win at Manchester United in January 2010.
He repeated his message of having no regrets ahead of the trips to Tottenham and Arsenal when we picked up deserved draws, and the boss will give his players a similar speech in the bowels of the Emirates Stadium ahead of the FA Cup third round meeting with Arsenal.
"We'll go there in good spirits, look to enjoy the occasion, and see what happens," he said.
"Everywhere you go there's pressure because you're wearing the Leeds shirt and you always have to put in a performance. We have to make sure we go to Arsenal and give a good account of ourselves.
"We have players who are capable of producing a performance on a big stage, we've seen that over the past few years, and this is where we hope to be next season."
Last season's third round meeting appeared to have been settled with a Robert Snodgrass penalty, but Arsenal struck back with an equaliser deep in stoppage time before going on to win the Elland Road replay.
"It was quite strange because we played so well there last season," said the United boss.
"We got the penalty and as time went on you think 'flipping heck we might actually do it again' but unfortunately they got the penalty late on and brought us back to Elland Road.
"They played some good stuff on that particular night, but we gave a good account of ourselves in the tie and we'll look to do the same.
"They might bring a few kids or fringe players in on Monday, but whoever they put out will be a good team and we want to go there, do ourselves justice, and make our supporters proud again."
While the odds are against Leeds claiming another Premier League scalp, the United boss says his team will be heading south in positive mood and without any fear.
"There are weaknesses in every team and you have to try and exploit them," he added.
"We've had them watched, and I'm sure they'll be aware of our weaknesses. But we have to go there, stick to the game plan, and try and produce a performance.
"There's always a surprise and why can't it be Leeds United at Arsenal? It's the same message as always for games like this 'go out, give it your all, have no regrets, and see where it takes us.'"
