Ben Parker

Ben Parker was on target for a Leeds United under-21 side on Saturday in a 4-1 win against Rochdale.

The left-back marked another 45 minutes of competitive action with his first goal in a Leeds shirt in over two years as a United XI cruised to victory.

The match was arranged after the under-18s clash with Newcastle United was postponed, and regular under-18 striker Dominic Poleon cashed in by scoring twice and creating two more.

Poleon had a hand in Parker's goal, and he was also involved in the build-up to Billy Ions goal.

Reserve team coach Neil Redfearn described the game as "a good workout against spirited opposition."

The game also saw goalkeeper Alex Cairns play the full 90 minutes while Will Hatfield, who has now returned from his loan spell at Accrington Stanley, also completed 45 minutes.

United: Cairns, L.Turner, Qualter, Gimple (Killock 45), Parker (C Taylor45), N.Turner, Thompson (Lenighan 45), McCann (Snodin 45), Hatfield (Clamp 45), Ions, Poleon.
