Defender Aidy White will continue on the learning curve this week, having joined up with the Republic of Ireland under-21s once again.

The youngster, who won his first cap for the under-21s at the start of the month, is named in the squad for the games against Hungary and Turkey.

The Republic take on Hungary in Sligo on Thursday before travelling to Turkey for a game on September 6.

Aidy's last United outing ended in disappointment when he was sent-off at Ipswich on Saturday.

United boss Simon Grayson is expected to announce whether he intends to appeal against the card - and the one-match suspension - on Tuesday.
