Striker undergoes surgery...
Leeds United manager Simon Grayson has confirmed that Luciano Becchio will miss the start of the season.
The Argentinean, who scored 20 goals last term, has undergone minor surgery on his hamstring.
The boss confirmed: "Luciano has had the operation and he will miss the start of the season."
Meanwhile, Paddy Kisnorbo and Lloyd Sam are both back in the reckoning for Saturday's trip to Sheffield Wednesday.
Along with Robert Snodgrass, the duo missed the midweek win at Rochdale due to injury.
"Paddy Kisnorbo and Lloyd Sam both trained on Thursday," said the boss.
"Snodgrass is touch and go, and there's one or two with knocks who might not make it. Billy Paynter has tonsillitis as well so he won't be play."
