Leeds United's trip to Brighton and Hove Albion in September has been moved at the request of the Police.

The club's first ever trip to Brighton's new stadium was scheduled for Saturday September 24, but the game has been brought forward to the evening of Friday September 23 (7.45pm).

The announcement means that two of our first four away games have been moved, both involving trips to the south coast, after the season opener at Southampton was switched to a 5.20pm kick-off on Saturday August 6.

"We're disappointed that another of our early season long away trips has been moved," said CEO Shaun Harvey.

"It will be an inconvenience for our fans and it's disappointing for them, particularly as this is the first time we have visited the new stadium at Brighton.

"The request was made by Sussex Police as a significant amount of car parking required for our game on the Saturday would be unavailable due to other pressures inside the city."
