Luciano Becchio scores against Watford

United manager Simon Grayson has confirmed that striker Luciano Becchio will have a second scan on the injury which ended his involvement with the Watford game last weekend.

The striker sustained a hamstring injury and the Leeds boss says he is a major doubt for Friday's Elland Road clash with Reading (7.45pm).

"He had a scan on Monday and he'll have a second one now for confirmation of the exact nature," said Grayson.

"It's looking like he has a slight hamstring injury so he will be a doubt, although knowing him he will want to play.

"If there's any doubt, we're at a too important stage to start running risks. If he doesn't play Friday, we've got another game on Monday.

"If he is out we're fortunate in that we have the likes of Dave Somma, Ross McCormack, Billy Paynter, and Max Gradel so we have plenty of options available."

Lloyd Sam (knee) is a certain absentee for the weekend, but Sanchez Watt has returned to training after injury and is available for a return.
