United striker Luciano Becchio is undergoing a scan on the knee injury which curtailed his involvement in Saturday's 2-2 draw with Watford.

The South American stepped off the bench to fire United ahead, but his involvement lasted just 29 minutes before he was forced into withdrawing due to a knee injury.

"He's still sore at the moment," confirmed boss Simon Grayson. 

"He's got a scan so we'll see how he is after that.

"We'd sensed he was a bit tired because he's worked hard over these past few weeks, but  when he came on he scored and had a great opportunity to score a second.

"We'll see how he progresses now when we know more from the scan and as the week goes on."
