Max on his terrific run of form...
In-form Max Gradel may have been left with mixed emotions after his Elland Road brace only secured a point on Tuesday - but the Ivorian insists he is being driven on by a sense of belonging.
While tired of being reminded about his final day dismissal from last season, the former Leicester flyer says the memory of that is what is spurring him on as he rips Championship defences to threads.
"When you play for this club, you need to work hard and give everything you've got," said Max.
"After what happened last year I'm very happy to be able to give everything. I feel I have to give something back to the club and to the fans who support me and the manager.
"I'm very happy to see them happy, and I'm happy when they sing my name because it means they have forgotten. I'm really trying to work hard and do my best and if they're happy, I'm happy."
Max scored from the penalty spot and with a terrific strike in Tuesday's 3-3 draw against Barnsley. The point kept United in sixth spot ahead of Saturday's trip to face Swansea City.
"We need to keep going again and make sure we do everything right, everything that the manager and staff tell us to do, and we'll be okay," he added.
"We should have won it on Tuesday, and could maybe have lost it as well, but we move on to the next game.
"Every game is very important. Swansea are second, they are a good team and it's away. It'll be an important game, but we'll be looking for three points."
