Max Gradel scores at Norwich

United chairman Ken Bates is describing Saturday's visit of Norwich as a real six-pointer and insists he would like to see the Canaries join Leeds in winning promotion again this season.

Norwich were the League One champions last term when we went up in second, and they go into Saturday's game holding a two-point advantage over United ahead of the clash at Elland Road.

And the United chairman is hoping both sides can build on their respective starts and complete a double promotion by escaping the npower Championship at the first attempt.

"Saturday is a real six-pointer because if we beat them we can go above them," the chairman told Yorkshire Radio.

"Why have we both done well so far this season? Because we've both got good teams and good managers.

"Paul Lambert was at Colchester at the beginning of last season and they beat Norwich 7-1 at Carrow Road. Norwich appointed him and he's never looked back.

"They are a good team, a good club, and they are well run.

"We have a good manager, a good team, a good ground, great supporters, and we're being run carefully and wisely.

"It'd be nice if we both got promotion this season, us automatically, them through the Play-Offs."
