United midfielder Neil Kilkenny almost doubled his time on the pitch in the Asia Cup as Australia breezed through to the final of the competition.

Having made two 11-minute substitute appearances, Killa came on for the final 20 minutes as the Socceroos thumped Uzbekistan 6-0 in the semi-finals.

The Aussies added three goals while Killa was operating in midfield to sweep aside their opponents to set up a final meeting with Japan.

The final of the Asia Cup takes place on Saturday at the Khalifa International Stadium.
