The club has cancelled the contract of youngster Liam Darville by mutual consent.

The 20-year-old defender, who made 13 appearances on loan at Tranmere earlier in the season, is now free to find another club.

Liam had progressed through the club's Academy system and was a regular in the reserves last term.

He had a short loan spell at Rotherham at the end of last season before joining Les Parry's Tranmere back in August on a six-month loan deal.

Liam departs with the best wishes of everyone connected with the club.
