Defensive duo Alex Bruce and Andy O'Brien remain doubts for Leeds United's trip to Leicester City on Boxing Day.

O'Brien has returned to Bolton for treatment on a thigh strain, while Bruce pulled up during last weekend's 2-0 win against QPR at Elland Road.

"Alex is back doing a bit of work and Andy is as well at Bolton," said the manager.

"Andy's gone back there for a few days and both medical staffs will make a judgement on where we are.

"We'll see where we are with them both over next few days.

"If there's any doubt we won't play them, Leigh Bromby came in and did well last weekend so we've got plenty of options."

The boss has reported no further injury worries as his squad continue to prepare for the Boxing Day game at Leicester.

The squad are training both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day in readiness for the game.
