Max Gradel celebrates

United goalscorer Max Gradel was quick to dedicate Saturday's win against QPR to everyone connected with the club.

Max struck a goal in either half to secure Simon Grayson's men a 2-0 win against the league leaders, but the former Leicester flyer said it was a complete team effort - on and off the field.

"I'm always happy to get goals, but it's credit to the team, the staff, and the fans as well," he said.

"It was a great team performance, everyone is working hard for each other, and I was really pleased for everybody.

"It's down to the gaffer and the staff. QPR are a good side, we had to be patient, and we were."

The win was enough to hoist Leeds into second place in the table, ahead of what is a busy Christmas period.

"If we keep working hard and believing in ourselves, we can finish up there," said Max.

"The main thing is keeping our focus. We don't want to listen to what people say, even though it's nice. We just need to keep our focus.

"We've got a big squad and we're looking forward to our Christmas games now."

The first of those will hand Max a first return to Leicester City, the club he left to join Leeds on a permanent basis 12 months ago.

United have already been beaten twice by the Foxes this season, and Max is expecting another tough game.

"I'm not thinking about revenge," he said. "We just want to get three points there and I want to make sure I do my job for the team.

"I need to keep working and try and get better and better for the team now."
