Simon Grayson's Norwich verdict....
United manager Simon Grayson said he was pleased with his side's point at Norwich City on Saturday after what both managers described as a great advert for the nopower Championship.
United dominated the opening 45 minutes of the game, Max Gradel scoring, but the hosts went on the front foot in the second half, and Leon Barnett's 65th minute header ensured honours ended even in a contest which could have gone either way.
"I'm pleased," said the United boss. "Norwich is a difficult place to come. They are a good side.
"I thought we were excellent in the first half, we passed well and defended well. Maybe we didn't get the breaks when we needed them and just couldn't pick out someone for that second goal.
"Sometimes that can happen when balls are going in the box. Last weekend they fell to Luciano and on Saturday they were just short, but I thought we did really well.
"It was a really good game, both teams tried to win the game, and it was a good advert for the league. In the second half we could have won, could have lost, and ended up drawing, but it extends our unbeaten run so we are pleased."
The only disappointment for United was that Norwich's equaliser came after Kasper Schmeichel was felled at a corner, allowing Barnett a free header at goal.
"It seems like I'm on a mission with referees at the moment," added the boss.
"I didn't see it at the time because I was watching the flight of the ball, but there is a blatant push in there from Chris Martin. Kasper's on his backside and his header would have been straight down his throat.
"The referee missed that, but I'll give him praise with our goal with the advantage he played.
"I'm more concerned with talking about how well we played rather than talking about the referee."
