Neill Collins battles against Leicester

After losing successive home matches, Leeds United's attentions have now turned to the road with an away double-header at Scunthorpe and Coventry City.

United have lost two of the six away games this season, and the most recent victory came on the road at Middlesbrough, almost two weeks ago.

Defender Neill Collins is hoping the prospect of two away trips will re-invigorate confidence in readiness for an Elland Road double-header against Hull City and Bristol City early next month.

United will be backed by sell-out followings at both Scunthorpe and Coventry.

"It's a good thing to play at home," said Neill. "I've always said one of the best things about playing for Leeds United is playing at Elland Road and having that crowd behind you.

"But this season our away form has been good and we are looking to keep that up at Scunthorpe on Saturday and then at Coventry.

"After playing at home there is no better than feeling than running out away and seeing so many Leeds fans at an away game.

"Hopefully we can get a few points in the bag from our next two games and go back to Elland Road playing the way we can."

United have a good record at Scunthorpe's Glanford Park stadium, having won on our last two visits. The first of those was an FA Cup third round victory in 2003 and two seasons ago, Scunthorpe were dispatched on the opening day of the season thanks to goals from Enoch Showunmi and Jermaine Beckford.

"I've played at Scunthorpe a few times, and it's a tough place to go," added Neill.

"They have done well in the Championship, they play good football and have had great results.

"It'll be another tough match but we're ready for that."
