Bradley Johnson and Lloyd Sam in Chapeltown

Bradley Johnson and Lloyd Sam put smiles on the faces of kids in the Chapeltown area of Leeds this week after paying a surprise visit to the Chapeltown Youth Development Centre.

The centre was one of a number of deserving junior football clubs/organisations who were given a treat after winning the netflights.com community balls promotion.

Representatives of a number of the clubs visited Leeds United's training ground at Thorp Arch where they had a tour of the facilities and met the management and players. They were also presented with brand new footballs for training or match use.

But Brad and Lloyd, who is on the verge of returning from injury, took the personal touch a step further by dropping in at the Prince Phillip Centre to deliver the balls themselves.

"It's nice to see the enjoyment on the kids faces," said Brad.

"We gave them the balls, signed a few autographs and chatted to the kids.

"We want all kids to be playing football. It's good to start at a young age and to come to places like this is good."
