Former Swansea man to welcome his old club...
Former Swansea defender Fede Bessone is expecting to welcome one of the nPower Championship's best footballing sides to Elland Road on Saturday.
Fede spent two seasons at Swansea before his move north during the summer and the ever-present knows more than most about the potential threat the Swans will pose on Saturday.
Swansea changed manager during the summer with Brendan Rodgers taking over the reins, but Fede reckons Saturday's clash is an early season meeting of two potential top-six finishers.
"I was there two years and it did my confidence good, particularly last year," he said.
"The first season, under Martinez we played well, but last season we played much better.
"We were in the top-six all season and, in my opinion, we were playing the best football in the Championship, but sometimes that isn't good enough.
"We lost a couple of games and Blackpool got in there in the end and deserved that.
"Swansea have the same team. They will try to play and I think they will do well. They have a good manager and they are working hard.
"They will try to be in the top-six again, and they can do it, but I came here because I believe we can be top-six. I think we have a good squad and we have to work to that."
Fede was linked with a number of clubs during the summer after choosing to exercise his freedom to leave Swansea, and he admits there was no decision to be made when Leeds came alling.
"Swansea is a good club, but for me, I've never seen people like here, believing in us and each other," he said.
"The difference between the two clubs is the history because Leeds has a massive history.
"I do keep in touch with the guys there and I know a lot of them, but it's all about getting the win on Saturday and it's the same as any other game."
The defender admits he is still settling into life at Elland Road and says he is determined to keep improving as a player.
"I've not played at my best yet," he conceded.
"I need to show a lot of things much better. I'm trying to grow in confidence every game and I feel I am getting better.
"I'm getting more confident with team-mates. Hopefully I will try and get forward more. We've had some difficult games, but I want to keep improving."
Tickets are still available for the game against Swansea and fans are asked to book in advance...
