Goalscorer keeping feet on the ground...
Summer signing Lloyd Sam insists the Leeds United dressing room will not be getting carried away by what has been a good start to the season when the campaign resumes again on Saturday.
United went into the international break sat in sixth spot after back-to-back league wins against Millwall and Watford.
The league has already proved itself to be too close to call with a posse of teams closely grouped, but Lloyd is confident the competition for places at the club will ensure everyone remains on their toes.
"We have got a good squad with good players in each position, but it's too early to say what will happen," said Lloyd.
"The competition keeps you on your toes because everyone wants to stay in the team.
"Results and performances have been good. People said the Millwall game was one of the best they've seen, and it could have been more than 3-1.
"The Watford performance was different. It was a roll-your-sleeves up performance, and the goalkeeper and back-four were tremendous in that.
"It's always good to end before an international break with a win, and we had two wins, we are sixth place, so it's been a good start."
Lloyd has made a big impression since his summer arrival from Charlton, scoring three times already and proving a major attacking threat down the flank.
"It's been a great start for me getting the goals and winning games," he added.
"I've been happy so far with my performances. I'm enjoying my football and playing every game."
