Striker in fray and changes may be made...
Striker Max Gradel will return to the Leeds United fold for the visit of Leicester City on Tuesday (7.45pm) - and manager Simon Grayson admits he may have to make changes to his starting line-up.
Gradel is available again after a four-match suspension although the boss says he is considering his options before naming his team for the Carling Cup second round tie.
"As it stands, we're still considering our options for Tueday and what we're going to do," he said.
"We have a few tired bodies and a few niggles so one or two players are a doubt for the game.
"I didn't envisage making too many changes - I only made one in the last round because players need games at this stage of the season - so we will see where we are nearer kick-off.
"Some clubs made a lot of changes in the last round of the competition and are out of it now. I want to win games because winning breeds confidence and particularly with us having a break after Saturday's game at Watford you will see the strongest side I can put out."
While Gradel, who signed from Leicester City earlier this year, may have to be content with a place on the bench, the double return of both him and Davide Somma has given added options.
"Max has been like Davide," said the boss. "He's itching to play. They both served their bans, and both were gutted not to play in the first few games.
"They've both worked very hard, they've done their running, and they've played at places like Gainsborough and Bradford Park Avenue to get their match fitness up.
"Dave has reaped the rewards and hopefully Max will too when he comes back into the team. He certainly showed what he was all about against Wolves in pre-season and would have started the season on the back of that."
While Somma's suspension came after being dismissed while on loan at Lincoln, Max's four-game ban stemmed from his dismissal in our final game of the season against Bristol Rovers.
The player has already publicly thanked both the manager and the fans for their backing, following what could have been a costly red, and the boss is confident Gradel has learnt from that afternoon in May.
"He's regretted it by not being in the team," added the boss.
"When you make a mistake you have to learn from it. We came through that day, but he was absolutely devastated and he will have learnt from that feeling.
"You don't want to take away the enthusiasm or the bubbly nature he has as a player.
"He's promised it won't happen again and hopefully it won't happen again because I don't want him suspended."
Tickets are £15/£8 and fans are urged to book in advance...
