Young defender Liam Darville has been given the opportunity to feature for York City in pre-season.

The 19-year-old has been given permission to be involved in York's pre-season games against Barnsley on Tuesday and Scunthorpe on Saturday.

The Academy product spent the end of last season on loan at Rotherham United, but injury prevented him for making an appearance for the Millers.
