Bury trip may come too soon...
Tuesday's trip to Bury could come to soon for ahead-of-schedule Leeds United captain Richard Naylor.
The skipper missed the week in Slovakia as he continued his recovery from a hamstring injury and while he is chomping at the bit to return to action, he may have to wait a little while longer with United boss Simon Grayson not prepared to take any risks.
"These injuries happen and the timescale on his hamstring injury was from the back end of last season to the start of this," he explained.
"He's done well to get back running and joining in with training, but we have to be careful to make sure there's no setbacks.
"Richard wants to be back as quickly as possible and make sure he is right, and once Harvey (physio) says he is ready to step into a game situation we will do that."
United were without Jason Crowe, Alan Martin, and Lloyd Sam for the final game in Slovakia last Friday, although the former is back in training and could be involved at Gigg Lane on Tuesday.
"Jason Crowe has trained, but Lloyd won't play," added the boss.
"If we're in any doubt we won't be risking players because we want to keep as many fit bodies as possible.
"A few of the lads played 90 minutes in Kosice and one or two more will play 90 minutes against Bury."
