The club's anthem Leeds, Leeds, Leeds (Marching On Together) has stormed into the Official UK Charts at number 10.

The re-mastered version of the song was the second highest new entry of the week, only BoB entered the charts higher, taking the number one spot.

Leeds, Leeds, Leeds (Marching On Together) fared better than Muse's new release, a new entry at 11, the England World Cup song, which entered the charts at 21, and the cast of Glee.

The re-release, which has the full support of original creator Les Reed, was masterminded by lifelong Leeds fans Ian De Whytell, Kevin Smith, and Dave Whittaker, and the trio deserve a huge vote of thanks from all Leeds United fans for their efforts.

A Facebook group which attracted over 25,000 members was set up, encouraging Leeds United fans to celebrate promotion by getting Leeds, Leeds, Leeds (Marching On Together) into the charts, and a week of downloading by Leeds fans around the world has paid off.

The number 10 placing equals the spot the original version of Leeds, Leeds, Leeds (Marching On Together) reached back in 1972.

The track is still available for just 79p from iTunes here, from Amazon here, play.com here, Tesco.com here, or Napster here. The track can also be bought from eMusic (subscription required) here. The track is also available at 7digital.com here and HMV here.
