Irishman on his year at Leeds...
Promotion winner Micky Doyle reflected on his successful season-long loan with Leeds United and declared: "It's been the best year of my life."
The tigerish midfielder, who joined on loan from Coventry at the start of the season, started 52 of United's 60 games and played more than a key role in the club's promotion from League One.
He also featured in the FA Cup success against Manchester United, and the Irishman is able to look back on his year at Leeds with immense satisfaction.
"I came the day before the Exeter game after seven years at Coventry and I was at home there," he said.
"As much as I knew I needed to get away from Coventry it was still strange coming here, but the minute we went out on to the pitch for that first game the atmosphere was unbelievable and ever since that game I've not looked back.
"Everyone at the club, the players, the staff, the fans, never made feel like I was on loan. I felt like a Leeds United player.
"Whatever happens now it's been the best year of my life. The fans and the people at the club are second to none.
"Beating Man United and getting promoted and getting the club back up has been really special.
"All I've done the season finished is look back and thinking of the wins we've had. I can't Saturday out of my head either."
Saturday was the icing on the cake for Micky and his team-mates as United clinched promotion against Bristol Rovers and over 38,000 celebrated at Elland Road.
"It's a bit surreal in way," said Micky. "Promotion was the target and to sit back now and look back now we're up is great.
"Ideally we would have liked to have had it done a couple of weeks before. Things had gone so well, but it didn't work out like that.
"And on Saturday things couldn't have gone any worse to start with, but it was a day I'll never forget.
"I've never experienced anything like the celebrations. I know the club had waited so long and it was great to celebrate with the fans.
"I've never played in an atmosphere like that either. The crowd was the reason we came back and won the game. They drove us on and got the best out of everybody on the pitch."
The 28-year-old's loan from Coventry City is now up and while his future is up in the air, he admits he would love to return to Elland Road.
"Once things settle down we'll speak with the manager," he said.
"They have worked so hard to get us up - they deserve to enjoy the moment - and once things calm down that's the time.
"I hope people think I brought something and helped us achieve something. I'd love to be there next season, that's what I'm hoping for, but what will be will be."
There was a slights downside to Doyle's biggest day as a Leeds player though, following an incident involving Leigh Bromby during the post-match celebrations in the dressing room.
"My foot is like a balloon," revealed Micky. "Brombs picked me up and dropped me and I've hurt my ankle, but I'd have taken that.
"It's definitely worth it. It wouldn't have happened if we hadn't won so I'm happy to ice my foot and get the swelling down!"
