Leeds United defender Lubomir Michalik has received a boost ahead of the summer's World Cup.

Lubo has been asked to join the Slovakians for a training camp ahead of the competition.

The training camp will be used as part of the selection process before the Slovakian squad is finalised for next month's tournament in South Africa.

The central defender made 23 appearances for United last season, his most recent coming in the 1-1 draw with Brentford in early March.
