Loan defender could be set for summer showdown...
Promotion winner Shane Lowry has been named in Australia's provisional 31-man squad for this summer's World Cup.
The Aston Villa defender, whose loan spell at Leeds ended following Saturday's 2-1 win against Bristol Rovers, has a real opportunity of travelling to South Africa with the Socceroos.
Shane made 12 appearances for United, his final one coming at centre-back on Saturday as the club clinched promotion back to the Championship.
Sadly, Paddy Kisnorbo was ruled out because of injury while, surprisingly, midfielder Neil Kilkenny has not been named in the provisional squad despite a string of impressive performances in the middle of the park.
The Aussie squad also includes one-time Leeds trialist Adam Federici and former Elland Road goalscorer Harry Kewell.
