Neill Collins

Promotion winner Neill Collins firmly believes the coolest heads will emerge victorious in the promotion race.

Having tasted success at Sunderland and Wolves, last season, the Scot brings valuable experience to the Leeds United camp at a crucial time.

Despite last weekend's 3-2 reverse at Gillingham, United are still in second spot and a win against MK Dons on Saturday will represent another big step towards a Coca-Cola Championship return.

"Every game is tough," said the defender.

"It doesn't matter who you are playing at this stage.

"People are nervous, there's pressure, you only have to look at results in the other divisions, and all these games are tough.

"If you've been there before you have an added advantage of what it's like and what's expected.

"I'm sure the players who have been in this situation before will know that."

Saturday sees a depleted MK Dons head for Leeds, but Collins is expecting a tough challenge.

"They will want to win the game," he said. "It's professional pride.

"It doesn't matter if it's a game of football or a game of monopoly, we are all professionals, have professional pride, and will want to win.

"People will look at other things such as the fact their manager is leaving, but things like that don't matter.

"The fact is they are coming to Elland road, it'll be a fantastic experience for them and they will want to do their best."
