Simon Grayson's men head for Gillingham on Saturday knowing they are just four games away from a Coca-Cola Championship return.

The midweek win at Carlisle United was enough to lift United back into second spot in the table and, once again, automatic promotion now lies in our own hands.

The other weekend games see Millwall go to Huddersfield on Friday while Charlton take on Norwich on Saturday, and having recovered from a mid-winter wobble, Leeds are again aiming to secure the grip on the second automatic promotion place.

"The pressure was on us for a long time to stay in top two and then suddenly we were out of it," said goalkeeper Shane Higgs.

"That maybe gives you that extra incentive to get back in there. Everyone was chasing us, they overtook us, and suddenly other teams realised what it is like to be there.

"We've got ourselves back there now and we have to maintain that for the next four games and stay there."

United head for Gillingham on Saturday to face a team who currently sit three points above the relegation zone.

Mark Stimson's side have lost only three times at home this season and will be fighting for their League One future on Saturday.

"You never go anywhere thinking it's going to be easy," added Shane.

"At this stage of the season, teams are all fighting at one end or the other. It adds more pressure, but it shows what's in your character."
