Luciano Becchio is stretchered from the field at Norwich

United manager Simon Grayson is refusing to rule out Luciano Becchio for the weekend clash with Swindon Town.

The striker took a kick in the head at Norwich City last weekend and subsequently swallowed his tongue.

He underwent extensive treatment from physio Harvey Sharman and was dispatched to hospital in Norwich before returning on the team coach.

"Luciano's coming on nicely," said the boss.

"He's in the hands of the medical staff and doctors and we'll see if he can be involved.

"He got a nasty whack, swallowed his tongue, and was out for a short while.  It was a great part played by our medical staff in clearing his airways.

"He was a bit dizzy afterwards, but he came home with us and we've taken it day by day.

"We'll leave it late, but it has to be a medical decision and we'll be advised. We'll speak to Luc and to the doctors, but we're grateful he's still in one piece."

Grayson could also welcome both Gary McSheffrey and Aidan White back to his squad after injury and, with the exception of defender Paddy Kisnorbo, who has been ruled out for the season, he will be selecting from strength for the visit of Swindon.
