United manager Simon Grayson says striker Luciano Becchio is "recovering well" after Saturday's game at Norwich.

The South American was stretchered from the field early in the 1-0 defeat after being kicked in the head.

He received lengthy treatment on the pitch after swallowing his tongue, but after being taken to hospital in Norwich he was given the green light to return to Carrow Road to travel back with the team.

"The physios and the doctors were terrific with their response," said the Leeds boss.

"He travelled back with us and he is recovering well. We are monitoring his progress."
