Scot looks ahead to Southampton trip...
Midfielder Robert Snodgrass is hoping to play his part in an away day repeat showing at Southampton on Saturday as Leeds United look to strengthen the grip in the League One promotion spots.
United head for the south coast on the back of a 4-1 midweek win at Tranmere.
Snoddy scored the opening goal at Prenton Park as United recorded a first away league win of the year and the most convincing on-the-road performance since Brighton were despatched 3-0 back in November.
"We were terrific on Tuesday," said Robert.
"It was the same at Elland Road against them and it's what we're all about. It was a joy to be a part of and everyone was it.
"We went about our business in the right manner and got the three points.
"It was a massive three points and that result will go a long way for us, particularly when we look back at the end of the season.
"The last few weeks we have been good, but there's been a few things here or there which maybe haven't been there.
"Last Saturday against Brentford was frustrating and it felt like a defeat afterwards, but we needed to put that behind us, which we did, and I think that showed in the performance on Tuesday.
"Charlton have had a bad patch, Norwich have maybe sneaked a few results, and I think the next month will be a clearer picture of where we are.
"It is a tough month, but we'll see where we are."
United go into Saturday's game five points clear of third-placed Charlton and four points behind leaders Norwich.
While Southampton are one of the form teams - last weekend's defeat at Tranmere was preceded by two five-goal hauls on home soil - Charlton face a tricky derby trip to Millwall and Norwich are at Huddersfield.
"Southampton have been on a run, but if we focus on our own performance and realise what got us a result on Tuesday - we have to try and replicate that," added Snoddy.
"We show every team respect and we don't get carried away. They will be firing, they have some good players, and some good strikers, and it's up to us to stop them and get a few goals at the other end.
"Norwich and Charlton have tough games as well on Saturday and if we can get a win and they drop points..."
