United manager's verdict on Huddersfield draw...
United manager Simon Grayson felt Saturday's 2-2 draw at Huddersfield Town was a fair result for both sides.
United and Town shared four goals for the second time this season as the two sides produced another close fought League One encounter.
Leeds came from 1-0 down to take the lead midway through the second half - thanks to goals from Jonny Howson and Luciano Becchio - but the home side snatched a point late on, courtesy of a Gary Roberts strike.
"They probably had the better of the first half and we had the better of the second half," said the United manager.
"There were chances at both ends and it was another good advert for our league. Over the course of the game it was a fair result.
"They are a good team. Their goal was a deflection and there'd been nothing in it until then, but they had a couple of decent chances after that.
"I thought we'd played okay without showing a real cutting edge, but we upped it in the second half. We knew we could raise it a bit and we did that.
"It shows what the players are about that they can go behind and come back and get in front.
"Jonny showed great feet and awareness for his goal. He is a box to box player and can get in advanced areas, and Luciano again showed what he is all about.
"When you go 2-1 up you like to think you can keep the lead. I thought that we were going to get a third and kill the game off, but credit to them. Both sides deserve credit for trying to win the game.
"It was pretty much a replica of the first game at Elland Road. Everyone would love to win 1-0 and keep clean sheets, but sometimes you have to give credit to the opposition."
With Colchester losing at Bristol Rovers, the point gained strengthened United's place behind Norwich City in the promotion spots.
"It's a big point for us," added the boss. "It's another point towards our aim of promotion.
"It's another game gone by and we're another point closer to where we want to be.
"If Huddersfield have ambitions of finishing in the top two they probably needed to win, but I'm not interested in other teams."
