Boss delighted with Elland Road...
Simon Grayson was delighted with his side's return to winning ways at Elland Road on Tuesday and was quick to admit: "You could see the confidence coming back."
United turned in a best home performance of 2010 to end a frustrating run of four league games without a win, and to get the promotion campaign back on course.
Luciano Becchio scored twice to secure a 2-0 win against Oldham, but the boss was delighted with the team performance and firmly believes his players will go on from here now.
"It was a very professional performance and we're delighted to get back to winning ways," he said.
"We were all disappointed with the last two home games, but delighted with the result on Tuesday and the way we played as well.
"The first goal in any game is important especially when you haven't been getting results and you could see the confidence come back into the players.
"We were passing, taking people on, getting at defenders, and they created very little.
"You can't get away from the fact we have had a lot of games and had some tired legs, but the players responded in the right manner on Tuesday and we can go on from here now.
"The crowd were fantastic as well because they could have been a bit edgy, but they were terrific and stuck with the players throughout."
Grayson again made a handful of changes to his side with Luciano Becchio and Robert Snodgrass returning to the side, along with Aidan White who made his first league start of the campaign.
"We wanted to start as we finished against Brighton with pace and energy, and we got them on the back foot straight away on Tuesday," added the boss.
"We had energy and quality about us and a lot of things were right about us, like we were earlier in the season.
"The way the goals were created was pleasing. You have to get your crosses in. Jermaine and Luciano both did well and I was delighted to see Luciano score another couple of goals."
