Simon Grayson's Orient verdict...
Leeds United manager Simon Grayson was left with mixed emotions after Saturday's 1-1 draw at Leyton Orient.
A Charlie Daniels own goal secured Grayson's men a point from a game they had dominated from the first whistle.
It was United's best away league performance for some time, yet the 3,000 strong travelling army thought they would be leaving East London empty handed after Tamika Mkandawire headed the home side into the lead with just seven minutes remaining.
"I'm disappointed in some respects because I thought we were outstanding in the first half," said the boss. "I don't know how it was 0-0 at half-time because we got our crosses in and created plenty of chances.
"We did the same in the second half, although we were maybe not as strong, but we put them under vast amounts of pressure...then they got the goal.
"Their keeper had made some good saves in the first half and we were so comfortable and in control without having anything to show for it, but it shows what the players are all about because they kept going.
"You have to have that desire to keep going. We had the same situation at Hartlepool last week where we were hit by a late equaliser, but I felt we more than deserved that one on Saturday.
"It's a point nearer to where we want to be. Orient is a difficult place to go. We've got 17 games left, and we have to carry on picking up points. If we do that, we won't be too far away."
The United boss had changed his starting line-up for the Orient clash and Bradley Johnson and Neil Kilkenny formed a new pairing in the centre of the midfield.
"I thought Bradley and Neil ran the show," added the boss. "They passed it well, and we played some great stuff at times.
"I was delighted with how the whole team played."
