Simon Grayson meets the media

Manager Simon Grayson will be overseeing one final push for Wembley when his Leeds side travel to Carlisle United in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy Northern Area Final second leg on Tuesday (7pm).

Leeds head to Brunton Park looking to overhaul a 2-1 first leg deficit and while the tie has failed to capture the imagination of the fans - United will be backed by a hardy 1400 - the boss has no intention of giving up the ghost.

"We've come this far in the competition, we're looking for the result we need," he said. "We've played Darlington, Grimsby, and Accrington and we've been taking this seriously.

"We're 90 minutes away from Wembley and we have an opportunity. We know we are capable of turning the result around.

"They have some good players with some good experience. We know what to expect.

"We played well enough to win last weekend and played well against Tottenham and Colchester so we can turn it around.

"Our players have produced performances at Old Trafford and Tottenham, and under pressure at Elland Road, so they can handle pressure.

"It's not as if we are two or three goals behind. They will want to put the game to bed, but we have to make sure we don't concede and turn the deficit into a positive.

"We want to win a cup competition. It's a cup run and we want to win it. If we get to Wembley I'm sure we'll have a fantastic following."

The United manager has injury concerns surrounding Jermaine Beckford (hamstring), Paddy Kisnorbo (calf), and Neil Kilkenny (ankle), but loan signings Gary McSheffrey and Shane Lowry are available along with January signing Max Gradel.

Goalkeeper David Martin is also available for selection.

"We'll see how the injuries and the knocks are," added the boss.

"Becks has a tight hamstring, He went for a scan on Monday to see what he's like. Whether Tuesday is too quick we'll see.

"We might have one or two others back that weren't involved at the weekend, but we need to make sure because I won't be taking any risks with anyone."

Away goals don't count double and if the scores are level after 90 minutes the game will go straight to penalties.
