Jermaine Beckford celebrates the late equaliser

United manager Simon Grayson is urging his players to go out and be heroes against Premier League Tottenham at Elland Road on Wednesday (7.45pm).

United take on Spurs in an FA Cup fourth round replay, looking for a second top-flight scalp so far this season.

"If I'm being honest, we didn't even speak about this game until Tuesday," said the Leeds boss.

"We'll ask them to do the same as they did in the first game and the same as they did at Old Trafford in the third round.

"We'll tell them to 'go enjoy yourselves, give the best account of yourselves that you can, have no regrets when you come off the pitch, and that somebody be a hero again.'

"Tottenham have let a few go this week, but it will still be their strongest team. Bentley and Huddlestone played at the weekend and they have some fantastic players.

"We're underdogs, but we'll go in and see what we can do."

It will be the second capacity crowd of the season at Elland Road, but the manager says he there will be no added expectancy from the partisan home support.

"There'll be no extra expectancy," he added.

"Everyone knows Tottenham are a top six side, like when Liverpool came here.

"Our fans have been fantastic this season and have seen what we can produce.

"Tottenham should be experienced enough to be used to big crowds - some of them have probably played here anyway - and they will be aware of our fans from Old Trafford and their place.

"If it is a shock to them that could be the case on the night."
