Goalkeeper David Martin is set to remain at Elland Road on a short-term loan deal until February 10.

The Liverpool stopper's latest loan expired after Saturday's game against Colchester, but boss Simon Grayson has retained his services for a further period.

Martin has made one appearance for the club - against Accrington in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy - and has been an unused substitute on 10 occasions.

Shane Higgs remains sidelined with injury and the United manager was keen to retain Martin as added cover for Casper Ankergren.
