United ask Exeter City for their observations...
Leeds United have written to Exeter City asking for the Devon club's comments on events surrounding our game on Saturday.
The club were concerned to see what appeared to be serious overcrowding on the terrace holding Leeds United fans and have asked Exeter for their observations.
United CEO Shaun Harvey said: "It is important to give Exeter the fullest opportunity to review the arrangements that were in place on Saturday before commenting any further.
"However, the important thing is that any lessons that need to be learnt from Saturday are done so for the benefit of any fans who travel to St James' Park in the future.
"The incident, while disturbing to see, appears not to have resulted in any injuries.
"Our fans deserve great praise for their patience in what was obviously a very difficult and concerning situation."
