United celebrate the winner against Southampton

Leeds United skipper Richard Naylor will be a proud man when he leads his team-mates into FA Cup action at Old Trafford on Sunday.

The Leeds-born Naylor is relishing the prospect of skippering the side against Manchester United, and says Leeds will head across the Pennines in good heart and with plenty of confidence.

"It's a game everyone is looking forward to," he said.

"Everyone knows the rivalry between the two and it will make for a great atmosphere.

"When you're brought up a Leeds fan you know this history and I think if you ask some of the players in their dressing room who have been around for a few years - like Gary Neville - they will know the history too.

"It's a game people have been talking about and because we haven't met for a few years, it probably makes it even bigger.

"We'll go there and give it our best shot. As a player you want to test yourself against the best and this is our chance to do that.

"We're in a good run of form, we'll go there with confidence, and we will take heart from the way we perfomed against Liverpool in the Carling Cup earlier this season."

Naylor isn't the only Leeds fan in the dressing room on Sunday with Jonny Howson equally aware of the hopes of the 9,000 travelling fans.

"I think when you're a Leeds fan, you always know," said Howson. "It's a big game and a big rivalry.

"I always remember going to a game when Man United beat us once and when you see the passion and how much it means to everyone, you realise...but you don't realise until you go to a game.

"It's a massive thing for us. We're coming up against top quality players, the best in the country, and with the amount of titles that they have won, it's going to be a game to remember."
