Aussie midfielder embraces United spirit...
Midfielder Neil Kilkenny says the Leeds United squad are embracing the challenge to secure a Coca-Cola Championship return this season.
United lead the way in League One after picking up 45 points from the opening 18 games.
Leeds have suffered only one league defeat, and boss Simon Grayson has slowly strengthened his squad over the past few months with the loan signings of Sam Vokes, Max Gradel, Hogan Ephraim, and Tony Capaldi.
All four featured in a much-changed starting line-up at Oldham on Tuesday as United coasted to a 2-0 victory.
"The players who have come in have all done well in the Championship," said Killa, who scored the opening goal at Boundary Park on Tuesday.
"We're a big club and we attract good players. They have done well and everyone is fighting for places.
"We have big players with big personalities in the changing room and we're all fighting for the same thing.
"Hopefully we're proving we have a good squad. It might look it on paper, but the gaffer made changes and I think we proved it on Tuesday that we have a good squad.
"We need to keep our consistency and keep going. If you get promoted you have to win most of your games and that's all about consistency."
United now take on Huddersfield Town on Saturday at Elland Road (12.15pm) when Grayson's men will be looking to further extend the unbeaten home record to 21 games.
United will also be looking to set the record straight after losing three of the last four meetings with the Terriers.
"We went to Oldham on Tuesday to get three points and we did. We're looking to do that in every game," added Killa.
"It doesn't matter who we play, we have to keep doing that and proving ourselves week-in week-out.
"It's not about the past. We're here to get promoted and get the results to do that."
