United midfielder in call for support...
Midfielder Jonny Howson is calling on Leeds United fans to back his former school in their quest to win the prestigious National Schools Social Enterprise of the Year Award.
Bruntcliffe School has won the Yorkshire and Humberside Award and are battling it out with two schools from across the Pennines - in Manchester and St Helens - for the National Award.
Jonny is a former pupil at Bruntcliffe and has assisted with raising funds for an allotment regeneration project by cycling from Leeds to London on an exercise bike in the school hall.
"I still keep in touch with people at the school and it's fantastic to see them so close to this award," he said.
"I did a little bit to help right at the start, but they've obviously worked very, very hard, and I hope they can go on and win the award.
"I've voted and hope as many as Leeds fans and people from this area will show their support for Bruntcliffe School because it would be a great achievement."
