Leeds United trio Leigh Bromby, Bradley Johnson, and Richard Naylor were all on hand to switch on the Leeds Christmas lights on Thursday night.

The three players joined Pixie Lott and GMTV's Lorraine Kelly for the annual switch-on in front of a crowd of around 40,000 in the Headrow in the city.

Captain Naylor also gave his support to the Back The Bid Leeds campaign, aimed at gaining support for the city's bid to become a host city should the World Cup come to England in 2018.

The skipper said: "It was nice that we were asked to join in with the celebrations, and we were delighted to be there.

"A lot of people turned out on a bad night weather-wise, but everyone seemed to have a good time, and that's what it's all about."
