Tres Kandol celebrates the fourth goal against Yeovil

United manager Simon Grayson was delighted to see his side move seven points clear at the top of League One, following a second successive 4-0 victory.

Grayson's men followed up the 4-0 midweek win at Bristol Rovers with a 4-0 win against Yeovil Town at Elland Road on Saturday, and the victory saw Leeds increase the advantage at the top of the division.

"It was a good week for us and we rounded off a good second half performance on Saturday with another 4-0 win," said the boss.

"In the first half we were a little bit flat and didn't get near the quality we expect. You take in different factors - Yeovil showed good energy and we'd had a long trip in midweek - but we upped it in the second half and it was a good performance.

"We showed good quality, we passed it well, got it wide and got it in the box.

"While we didn't put them under enough pressure in the first half we won 4-0 so you can't complain too much."

United were leading 1-0 when Grayson introduced substitutes Max Gradel and Neil Kilkenny. Both players had an impact, Gradel scored his first goal for the club, and fellow sub Tresor Kandol also stepped off the bench to score for the second successive game.

"You try to make changes that will have an impact on the game," said the boss. "It highlights what we have in the squad and increases competition.

"Players know they need to make an impact when they come on, but I was delighted with everyone's contribution.

"I thought Yeovil were neat and tidy, but we kept going, our quality came through and we got the win we deserved.

"I'm delighted with six points from the two games."
