Simon Grayson gives instructions against Glentoran

The focus has now turned to Norwich City for Simon Grayson and his Leeds United players ahead of Monday's return to Elland Road action.

United return to action against the Canaries after almost two weeks without a competitive game, and the boss says he and his players are ready to resume the league campaign.

United's last league game was a goalless draw with Charlton Athletic two weeks ago, and Grayson's promotion charges are ready to go again and are aiming to extend the unbeaten start to the league season.

"The break came at a good time," said the boss. "We said we had one or two tired minds and bodies and we had players away on international duty.

"It's been a opportunity for the players to re-charge their batteries and do more work, but they are ready for Monday night now. It's a great game to come back with."

Norwich were among the pre-season favourites for promotion, but a 7-1 opening day reverse at the hands of Colchester sent a shock to the system and proved the end of the road for then manager Bryan Gunn.

Ironically, Colchester's manager from that day - Paul Lambert - has now taken over and the Canaries have flown up to sixth place in the table, following a run that has seen just one league defeat in nine outings.

"It's a tough game because it's the next one," said the boss. "They will be serious contenders looking to harm us.

"They have some good players, but if we do what we're good at doing we have a good chance.

"I worked with Wes Hoolahan and he's a fantastic footballer, and he's one of a few who can be a threat.

"We've got to keep fully focused on what we've got to do."
