Grayson's delight at MK Dons success...
Manager Simon Grayson was quick to hail his Leeds United battlers after Saturday's 1-0 victory at MK Dons.
A Robert Snodgrass goal in the 92nd minute sparked wild celebrations as Grayson's side overcame the 10 men of MK with almost the final action of the game.
"It's the best time to score I suppose," said the Leeds boss. "Full credit to the players because they kept going.
"We knew it would be tough there and in the first half it was evenly matched. The game changed on the sending-off, and to play aginst 10 is always difficult.
"Against 10 men everyone expects you to walk all over them, but they raise their game and try and grind it out.
"But we kept going, and when you don't play as well normally do, you have to grind results out and it was a big grind on Saturday."
There was little in the way of chances throughout, but MK Dons were forced into re-organising themselves on the stroke of half-time when Jason Puncheon saw a straight red card following a lunge on Michael Doyle.
"It was a turning point," said the United manager. "He's not a malicious type of player, but when you leave the floor you are open to that.
"We said at half-time to be patient and move it quickly. We had to make sure we weren't vulnerable.
"There wasn't a lot of space, and they defended very well, but maybe other than a few half-chances, set-pieces were the only time we looked like scoring.
"There were a lot of little tackles and instances were free-kicks were given for both teams. MK Dons like a flowing game like we do, but these things happen.
"We're raising the bar every week, but when you don't play well you have to get results and that's what we did.
"We know we can play better but we'll take the result. We'll look back and it could be a big victory for us.
"We had a fantastic support there as well and I'm sure they left happier than they did last year."
The boss also put his hands up to an error before the game that saw Leeds name only six substitutes on the team-sheet instead of seven. Striker Enoch Showunmi was the unfortunate player who missed out.
"I messed up when I did the team sheet," added the boss. "I'm big enough to accept it and luckily it didn't cost us.
"It's a daft thing to do, but I put my hands up."
