Tres Kandol celebrates at Notts Forest in August 2007

Striker Tresor Kandol was quick to share the praise after he was one of two hat-trick heroes in the reserves at Scunthorpe United on Wednesday.

Enoch Showunmi bagged a hat-trick inside the first 70 minutes before Tres added three more during the closing stages to complete a 6-1 victory at Glanford Park.

The goals were a big confidence boost for both strikers, and for Tres, inparticular who has returned to the club after spending last season on loan, first at Millwall, then at Charlton.

"The whole team did well on Tuesday," Tres told LUTV

"We started the game at 120 miles an hour, and it went like that for the full 90 minutes.

"But I'm pleased for the boys and pleased for myself.

"I've been away for a while and when I came back I didn't know a lot of the players, but the more you play together the more you get to know each other and the boys really helped me.

"85 per cent of the people who were here aren't here now, but the good thing is you all play the same game and you get to know each other."

Tres figured on the substitutes bench for the first team against Stockport, but while media speculation has seen him linked with a move away from Elland Road, he says he is staying focused on the job in hand.

"You try and do what you're best at and get ready for games," he said.

"I'm just trying to work hard in training and reserve games, get myself if in the first team, and help get promotion."
