Malcolm Christie scores his first goal for the club during the 3-1 win at Stockport

Simon Grayson insists his side will be treating Stockport County with the utmost respect at Elland Road on Saturday.

While all the talk among Leeds fans is of potential record-breaking feats, the boss is keeping his feet on the floor and says such talk would be both premature and disrespectful to Saturday's opponents.

United beat Stockport twice last season - Malcolm Christie is pictured scoring the third goal in our 3-1 win at Edgeley Park to mark Grayson's first three points as Leeds boss - but the manager is expecting a stern test from Gary Ablett's men on Saturday.

"They have made a good start," said the manager.

"They've had two fantastic away results, at Brighton and Crewe, and they have a youthful squad.

"They've lost one or two from last year, but they are young and they will be thriving.

"It's a tough test, but we know what it's all about and what we can do.

"You have to have a fine line between being confident and over confident, and being complacent.

"The players have to keep working hard, and hope our quality will come through."

Grayson will make two changes to his side with central defensive pairing Rui Marques and Paddy Kisnorbo both away on international duty.

New signing Leigh Bromby could come in for his debut, alongside either Lubo Michalik or Paul Huntington.

United have had the rare luxury of no midweek game after being handed a bye in the first round of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy.

"You see all the othe teams playing and ours needed a breather," added the boss.

"It's done them good to have a couple of days off to re-charge their batteries.

"The JPT is a competition we will be looking to do well in, but I don't want it to be a distraction, and I was glad we got a bye in the first round simply to give us that little break."
